How Does Recruitment work?
Misconceptions about Recruitment often prevent girls from coming out to our events. We hope this can help to clarify what Recruitment entails and how it works.
Phi Sigma Rho holds several Recruitment events over the course of two or three weeks at the beginning of each semester. Attending these events is ABSOLUTELY FREE to those that attend and just because you attend an event does not commit you to anything. You may still attend other sorority's Recruitment. The purpose of these events is for you to meet sisters and for sisters to meet you, and for you to decide if Phi Sigma Rho is something you are interested in.
Girls that attend one or more Recruitment events are eligible to receive a bid. A bid is a formal invitation to become a pledge of our sorority. At this time you can choose to accept or reject the bid based on your feelings towards Phi Sigma Rho. If you accept you will be inducted and will then go through a membership education period in which you continue to "try out" Phi Sigma Rho. If at any time you feel like you do not want to continue, you are under no obligation to proceed. Recruitment and the pledge/membership education period is a great time for you to you to get to know the sisters and ideals of Phi Sigma Rho and decide if we're the sorority for you! |  Sisters showing off their favorite dance moves at a Recruitment event!
